This is a guided experience designed for a teacher leading classwork preparing a payload and mission statement.
We have HD cameras to capture the incredible views as well as a range of data loggers that students can use to measure levels of CO2, O2, UV, temperature and atmospheric pressure, and we are always willing to add to our repertoire.
Prior to launch an experienced balloonist will meet with staff, and help plan mission statement and payload. We are also delighted to be invited into the classroom to help students and teachers hit those key pre-launch targets.
On launch day Stellar Science organises all paperwork and permissions, arrives with the equipment, and guides students through a balloon launch that can go through the Ozone Layer into the stratosphere reaching an impressive maximum altitude of 40 km.
In addition to the excitement of launching, tracking and data retrieving (and a very cool space experience) it also gives students an opportunity to code Arduinos (mini pcs) and manage large amounts of data.
Stellar Science will also produce pre-prepared press releases to keep your local media informed of the great work your school is doing in the cutting edge STEM field of Space.
Ready for launch!
